Older every day

Ok, I know it is a fact of life, but geesh.
I watch my friends who keep getting older every day and every once in awhile the realization that I have to catch up with them slaps me in the head and sometimes I just am not ready to get that old.

can you tell I have another birthday approaching soon?

I mean really.
Some of these people are old. A couple of friends are only a few months older than myself but I am not old.
Yeah, my body is not the same as it was 5 or 6 yrs ago, I concede to that.
Yeah, I could lose a few pounds and have a better shaped body. But I don't have all the vain thoughts I had back a few years ago. All I want to do now is be healthy.
I want to be of sound mind. (praying all the time I don't end up forgeting who my loved ones are later in life.)
I also worry about my retirement.
I can legally retire in , oh, ok, 3 years.
Can't though, cause those little notices you get twice a year says I have not made enough money to retire with out worry.
Now I can retire when I am 70 and live pretty decent in today's economy, but what will it be like in 12 years?
Someone said the other day, that immigrants who are tax exempt are to be receiving some decent money for retirement from our benefits.
I have tried very hard since my last political rally back when they tear-gassed us so badly at the Pentagon,I have sincerely kept my mouth shut,tried to stay out of politics and not voice my opinions, but I am just about ready to get back on the band wagon if I am not going to be respected for the hardworking funds I have put away for myself all these years.
I have been quiet long enough, I fear it is time to rattle the acid burned entities left inside the skull sitting here in the middle of my shoulders and bring it back to a radical awakening.
I am going to research this issue some more.
