One more time

Here I go again!!!

I've watched managers come and go in the past 2 years this company has taken over the contract at the facility I work at.
I've watched asst. mgrs come and go.
I have been sitting in as asst. mgr everytime there has been a shortage of management for the past 2 yrs.
LOL, I have been sitting in longer than any actual asst. has been on duty.
Imagine that.
I know I have said this before,"they are considering me to be the official Asst."
Nothing ever happened except for another asst. mgr gets hired.
Well, now they are seriously considering me for the position.
I have been told they need to sit down with me.
They told me to send resumes, which I have.

So let's see where it goes from here.

I have asked people to pray.
I have prayed.
I believe if it is God's Will, it will happen.
So I am praying if it is God's Will, let it happen.
My test these days is
patience
when I ask for patience, it seems to be tested.
I'm done.
If it is going to happen, just let it.
I'm not going to add the words, NOW
I'm not going to add the words, YESTERDAY as far as when I need it to happen.

I'm just going to say.. ok, I'm ready when you are.

Managing Money

He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income" (Ecclesiastes 5:10).

A successful businessman once confided in another businessman known for his wisdom. "I've made a lot of money. I will soon be able to retire comfortably and do just about anything I want."

"John," the wise businessman replied to the man, "I've noticed that every time someone thinks they've built a tree that is so tall it almost reaches heaven, God often decides to shake the tree."

The minute we start trusting in riches, God will, in fact, "shake the tree" to demonstrate who is the source of wealth to turn us back to trusting Him completely. He did it in my life, and He'll do it in your life too because He loves us too much to allow us to continue down this destructive path.

Money is mentioned more than 2,000 times in the scripture. Jesus used it many times in illustrating an important lesson to his disciples. He spoke often of being a good steward of the resources He entrusted to us. He wanted a return on His investment and He wanted us to stay away from making money an idol in our lives.

Jesus understood that He was here on earth only to do the will of the Father. "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; He can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does."

As we look at our relationship to our heavenly Father and our use of money, it is clear that we, like Jesus, are here to do the will of the Father in all areas of life. This means seeking to live a life that is totally yielded to His purposes -even in the financial area.

Money, independence, and security are often the reasons many start their own businesses or change jobs. Check your motives today and see if your financial life can stand Jesus' scrutiny. Are you operating as a steward of the financial resources He has entrusted to you?

Today's Prayer

God, I know You have chosen me for a purpose. Help me to fulfill that purpose. I pray for wisdom to pass the tests You allow in my life, to strengthen my faith and develop me for Your great purpose. If I am to lead; help me to lead. If I am to follow; help me to follow. If I am to make a difference in the world; help me to make that difference. If I am to influence one life; help me to influence that life. Whatever my lot; help me to succeed and excel for Your glory. Thank you, God.

Mothers Day

A Kept Woman

You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,
but GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3)

There were times when I thought I could go no longer,
but the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)

At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong,
but the LORD kept my mouth shut. (Psa. 13)

Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,
but GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25 -34)

When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up.
When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)

I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me!
I'm blessed to be 'kept.'

Are you...or do you know a 'kept' woman?
If so,let her know she is Blessed to be 'Kept'

yuppers...that's me and I'm loving every minute of it. ;~)

something new

Yes!!!

I think I am finally getting there.
No thinking about it.
It's real!!!
woooooooohoooooooo

Have been daydreaming about being in an upstairs apt. with the balcony so far up that nobody on a bicycle can ride by and steal things off my patio.
So I can sit where people can't see me but I can watch their silly antics.
Something definitely in better shape than the apt. I moved into with the promise of new carpet in 2 weeks...NOT.
A year later, still not happening.

*doing the dance*

signed the lease today...got the key...moving upstairs into one of the best in shape apts in the whole building.

Ha, come take something off my patio now!!
;~)

Gosh, God is good.

now comes the challenge.
packing
going up and down the stairs
oh well
I asked for it..I got it
No complaining of the chore to move.

if I had...never mind.
the Lord will provide.

pssssssssst...I may be moving up in more than one arena,
say a little prayer.

Unreal

A helicopter was flying over a local lake and saw this first picture. Not believing what he saw the pilot circled and got lower to get a closer look. A giant gator. You know he had to be big to have a full grown deer in his mouth.
What is so unusal, this lake is in KY.
Cumberland Lake to be exact.
Gators just don't live there.
The last picture is of the gator after they shot him.
He was in somebody's back yard.
This gator was 23 feet and 1 inch long.
The guy walking by the gator stands 6 ft 5 in.
Whoaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Power outage During a Mammogram

I actually kept my mammogram appointment.
I was met with, "Hi! I'm Belinda!"
This perky clipboard carrier smiled from ear to ear, tilted her head to one side and crooned, "All I need you to do is step into this room right here, strip to the waist, then slip on this gown.
Everything clear?

I'm thinking, "Belinda, try decaf. This ain't rocket science."

Belinda skipped away to prepare the chamber of horrors.

With the right side finished, Belinda flipped me (literally) to the left and said, "Hmmmm.
Can you stand on your tippy toes and lean in a tad so we can get everything?'

Fine, I answered. I was freezing, bruised, and out of air, so why not use the remaining circulation in my legs and neck and finish me off?

My body was in a holding pattern that defied gravity (with my other boob wedged between those two 4 inch pieces of square glass) when we heard, then I felt a zap!

Complete darkness and the power went off!

"Oh, maintenance is working. Bet they hit a snag."
Belinda headed for the door.

"Excuse me! You're not leaving me in this vise alone are you?" I shouted.

Belinda kept going and said, "Oh, you fussy puppy... the door's wide open so you'll have the emergency hall lights.
I'll be right back."

Before I could shout "NOOOO!" she disappeared.

And that's exactly how Bubba and Earl, maintenance men
extraordinaire, found me, half-naked and part of me dangling from the Jaws of Life, and the other part smashed between glass!

After exchanging polite "Hi, how's it going" type greetings, Bubba (or possibly Earl) asked, to my utter disbelief, if I knew the power was off.

Trying to disguise my hysteria, I replied with as much calmness as possible
"Uh, yes, yes I did thanks."

"You bet, take care," Bubba replied and waved good-bye as though I'd been standing in the line at the grocery store.

Two hours later, Belinda breezes in wearing a sheepish grin.
Making no attempt to suppress her amusement, she said, "Oh I am sooo sorry! The power came back on and I totally forgot about you!
And silly me, I went to lunch. Are we upset?"

And that, Your Honor, is exactly how her head ended up between the clamps...

;~))
